“三侑之不食也”指的是“三次劝食却都不食”而不是指“三人劝食却都不食”应该翻译成“afterbeingservedforthreetimes”所以，很明显沃译“fromthethreeservers”的翻译是不妥的，而洛译的“thricebeingserved”是正确的。
（5）在中国典籍中经常会出现一些官的名称，这对于那些对中国文化不是很熟悉的汉学家的确是个考验。如“序官：宰爵知宾官祭祀飨食牺牲之牢数。司徒知百宗城郭立器之数。司马知师旅甲兵乘白之数。”（《王制》），三个翻译家对“宰爵，司徒，司马”有不同的翻译，分别是“Themasteroftitles，Theministeroftheinterior，Theministerofwar”，“Theintendantofthenobleranks，Thedirectorofthemultitudes，Thedirectorofthehorse”和“ThemasterofCeremonies，TheMinisteroftheInterior，TheMinisterofWar”洛译和沃译都采用比较非正式的语言，而德译采用首字母大写的形式，会显得比较正式，体现了官员的威严，比较可取。

洛译：Althoughamanmaybethedescendentofacommoners,...adheretoritualprinciples,heshouldbepromotedtothepostofprimeministerorhighcourtofficer。.
沃译：Althoughtheybethedescendantsofcommoners,iftheyaccumulatecultureandstudy...observingtherequirementsofritualprinciplesandjustice,theyshouldbebroughttotheranksofaprimeminister,knight,orgrandofficer.
德译：Althoughheisthedescendant...observestherulesofproperconduct(Li)andjustice(Yi),thenelevatehimtobeminister,primeminister,officer,orprefect.
有些中国道德概念词，比如说，“道”，“礼”，“仪”，“仁”，它们不等同于其他的词。我们很难在英语中找到对等次，可能不同的翻译家就会有不同的翻译。所以，通过直译，后加括号内注明相对较为适合的英语翻译。在德译中就体现了这一点。

洛译：Withonlyonebellhungandtheadditionoftheleathernchaff-drum,thegesoundingbox,andthezitberwithred,dressedstringsandpenetratingsoundholes.
沃译：Onlyonemansingsandthreeharmonizewithhim,onlyonebellisplayed,withtheleatherrattleaboveit,andthezithershaveredstringsandholesinthebottomtogivethemadulltone.
德译：Thatonlyonebellishung,thatthe'fu'drumisbeatenasinancienttimes,thatthevermillionstringpassesthroughtheholeinthelute.
